We are looking for a solution to combine USB, HDMI and 12V power over USB Type C. We currently have a motherboard that outputs USB and HDMI which we connect to a touchscreen display. We are hoping to redesign the motherboard and the display electronics to be able to use a single USB type C cable between the motherboard and touchscreen display. The new display will use 12V power, so I'd like to send that over the same cable as well. What ICs should I use to combine the signals on the motherboard as well as demuxing at the display electronics back into USB and HDMI. Any reference designs would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
You can take a look into this reference design:
https://www.cypress.com/documentation/reference-designs/ez-pd-ccg3-usb-type-c-charge-through-dongle
However, this reference design uses Type-C plug, if you need a receptacle, you'll have to add a MUX.
Regards,
Eddie
