What are the requirements for selecting the Rsense used for current detection of CCG3PA?
Please let me know if there are any necessary conditions such as ratings.

Thanks,
Tetsuo

Hi Tetsuo-san,

For the power rating or tolerance, there is no specific requirement on that. Anyway you can refer to the Rsense resistor used on CY4532 EVK if you have installed the EVK package.

The EVK BOM shows the part number (R84) used on that board. It's located at (default directory)C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypress\CY4532 EZ-PD CCG3PA EVK\1.0\Hardware\CY4532 EVK Power Board.

Thanks,

Fred

Hi Tetsuo,

This KBA maybe helpful to you regarding to the Rsense design - https://community.infineon.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/Rsense-Design-Considerations-On-CCG3PA-App...

As for the ratings, can you clarify more? By now I don't see additional requirement on Rsense selection other than the resistor value for general application.

Thanks,

Fred
