Hello,

The HX3C data sheet contains the following information.
"If any particular section of the device function not required, then that section
alone can be kept in reset by asserting correspond reset pin to LOW."

I have some questions about this.

If I want to fix XRES_P2 to Low, should I connect it directly to the GND? Or is it better to connect it to GND via a resistor?
If I use a resistor, what is the appropriate value?

And does each XRES pin have a built-in resistor?
If so, what is its value?

Does each XRES pin have a built-in resistor?
If so, what is its value?

Hello Shimamura-san,

I apologize for the late reply.

After much discussion, we have got the response to the second question.

HX3C has four reset pins.
The hub reset pin (D4) and CCG2 reset pins (E6, J9) do not have an internal resistor.
Therefore an external resistor is needed.

The CCG3/DMC reset pin (D7) has an internal resistor as shown in the image:

I can't give you the details here, but this question is to solve a problem that has arisen in an existing project.

Can you please tell me the proper way to handle the XRES pin to disable the downstream CCGx?

The XRES pins can be directly connected to GND.

- Does each XRES pin have a built-in resistor?

I apologize for the late reply.

After discussing it internally, we recommend a 4.7kΩ is used as a pull-down.

Regarding your second question, we will get back to you as soon as we have an answer.
As this is a "not recommended for new designs" device, it is taking more time than usual.
