Hi,

We've used HPIv2 Application Hardware Event (0x1B) to detect HPD plug and unplug events. MCU received these fine on Sink mode but now when using Source mode these events are not available. Curiously we do receive HPD IRQ event (EVT_TYPE: 3) even though HPIv2 specification says it's not used in Source mode. We do not receive HPD status update complete event (EVT_TYPE: 4) that is Source mode only event.

What is the recommend method to monitor hot plug status in Source mode? Use case is to know and report to end user wether cable is connected to a valid device.

Thanks!

Edit: clarified use case

Hi Teemu,

May I know what's specification you are referring to?

It is Host Process Interface specification which is confidential documentation and discovered under NDA?

If yes,  please kindly fill a mycase or contact local FAE to get further support.

Best Regards,

Lisa
