Hi,

Could anyone tell me what the GPIO P2.4 (pin 23 of the CYPD3120-40LQXIT) should connect to (gnd or floating) if I add a DisplayPort-to-HDMI converter PS176 and use the firmware without change ?

Hi ,

If you are going to design a C to HDMI dongle, you shall refer CCG3 C to HDMI dongle reference design. Pin#23 shall ground to GND.

What is the project name for this reference design?

In my project the circuit and the smart phone plugged in the USB-C connector will  be powered/charged by an external 5v power supply. I will add a MOSFET switch in the circuit to be controlled by the CCG3 (VBUS_P_CTRL0 and VBUS_P_CTRL1). Could you send me the customized codes for the MOSFET control so I can add/update in the main() function?

Hi Lisa,

The power control circuit I mentioned in the comment above is the same circuit in the "CCG3 USB Type-C Charge-Through Dongle" (document number:305-PD-15-xxx). VBUS will be charged / powered by the external power supply and VCONN will not be connected/used.
