What are the differences between CYPD3171 and CYPD3175? Datasheet shows CYPD3171 being used for Power bank applications and CYPD3175 for power adapters. What characteristic makes one suitable for its intended use?
Also, in some application circuits VDDD is driven from an external 3.3V regulator and in some other applications it's driven internally from the VBUS_IN. Why?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
CYPD3171 and CYPD3175 are preprogrammed with different firmware which makes them suitable for power bank or power adapter.
CCG3PA can operate from two possible external power source: VBUS or VDDD. Please refer to power system block diagram of CCG3PA:

Eddie
