CYPD3171-24LQXQ Does it support QC Source and Sink?

Hi I am planning to use CYPD3171-24LQXQ in my design and this is for QC operation. In the datasheet it is given that it supports QC4.0. Just want to know whether it supports all QC modes with both source and sink capability? Because i am in a confusion after going through the QC related answers in the forrum.

Hello Anand,

>> For power bank solution using CYPD3171 chip: In power bank project in SDK, CCG3PA supports QC 3.0 in source role. However, it doesn't supports QC in sink role. It only supports BC1.2 and Apple charging in sink.

You mean to say, For Car charger solution,  the controller supports both source and sink wrt QC?

Please note that car charger solution implies CCG3PA source role only.

QC Source: Support QC4.0  and QC2&3 classA/B.

QC Sink: No Support. But QC2 can be simulated by software.
