Hello.

Our company is developing a device that works with USB type C.
And CYPD2103 is mounted on the our cable.

Our device did not work in Macbook, but when I change the value of “Modal operation supported” Yes -> No on EZ-PD Configuration Utility, it works normally.

What exactly is "Modal operation supported"?

Regards,
Hyungsung

Hi Hyungsung,

"Modal operation supported" is just a flag to indicate that the device/cable supports USB-PD Alternate modes. May i know if you are implementing any Alternate modes in your design?  It will be helpful if you explain the exact application.

Best regards,
Pranava
