I am using EZ-PD Analyzer Utility Version 1.0.0.084 and although Windows recognizes the Cy4500 device, the application does not. This devices was working previously but stopped working recently. I have other CY4500 devices that have done the same. LED1 on the device flashes white when plugged in. I am unable to try reflashing the device because it is not recognized by the application. Is there another way to reprogram the device? Device sticker says 121-60321-01 Rev 09 2021CN00074. Thanks.

Hello DoSt,

Thank you for posting on Infineon Community.

We understand that your Analyzer Utility is not able to recognize the CY4500 kit.

Let us know the following:
-Have you ever updated the firmware on the device before?
-Have you ever used this device with the PROTOCOL Analyzer Utility?

The device comes by default with firmware to decode PD2.0 messages and should be used with Analyzer Utility.
When the device is updated, the new firmware is able to decode PD3.0 messages, and this should be used with Protocol Analyzer Utility.

The standalone firmware update tool can be found in:
C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\Cypress\EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer Utility\Firmware_Update_Tool
Using this tool with admin privileges lets you update the firmware without going through the Analyzer Utility.

Most likely, your device has been updated and now will work with Protocol Analyzer Utility.

Best regards,
Pablo
