Hello,

I asked the following questions before.

CCG3 of EZ-PD CCGx Host SDK version3.3.0

I checked Version 3.3.1 released this month (Jun. 2019) as it will be improved in the next release.

The following comments have been removed from EZ-PD CCGx Host SDK version 3.3.1 release notes.

"Note: Support for CCG3 devices is in maintenance mode, and the corresponding firmware projects have been replicated from past SDK versions without any new feature additions."

However, the following comments have not disappeared from CYPD3125-40LQXI Firmware Release Notes.

"1. Since the USB-PD specification and corresponding compliance test specification have changed since the CCGx Host SDK 3.2.1 release, this version of the CCG3 firmware binary fails some of the USB-PD compliance test cases in the Ellisys and MQP test suites."

I think that the CYPD3125-40LQXI FW in "EZ-PD CCGx Host SDK version 3.3.1" is updated to the new version (Version 3.3.1 Build 2010, April 29, 2019).

Is this correct?

In that case, why is the above comment left?

Best Regards,

Kenji Takahashi

Hi Kenji san,

We have assured that all of SDK firmware have passed the latest USB-IF compliance tests before release out. But we need keep this sentence always until the PD3.0 is final. Since we cannot assure when the end customer will entry USB-IF compliance tests and whether the USB-IF compliance tests is updated or not (the USB-IF compliance tests is updates all the time if there is any ECN filled or any enhancements). If you get the firmware and test it with same compliance tests suits, it will pass all. As per project schedule, it is difficult to meet this condition. Anyway, you can contact us anytime if you meet any problem of USB-IF compliance tests, Cypress will support you case by case.

Best Regards,

Lisa
