Hello Cypress-Team,
we are developing a system, which act as a DRP/DRD. Right now we take the CYPD3125-40LQXI. Due to availability issues, I was wondering what is the big difference to the CYPD3126-42FNXIT?
The main features of the device, in terms of USB-C/PD:
- Unit act as a DEVICE: UFP/SINK
- Unit act as POERBANK: SOURCE (Data role is negelctable)
- Unit act as HOST for e.g. USB-Sticks: DFP/SOURCE
- Unit act as HOST, but loaded from peripheral unit: DFP/SINK
Are these settings possible?
BR Holger

Hi,
The only difference between CYPD3125 and CYPD3126 is the package type. CYPD3125 comes in 40-QFN and CYPD3126 part comes in 42-CSP. Rest all the features are similar in the two mentioned part numbers.
"-Unit act as a DEVICE: UFP/SINK
- Unit act as POERBANK: SOURCE (Data role is neglectable)
-Unit act as HOST for e.g. USB-Sticks: DFP/SOURCE
- Unit act as HOST, but loaded from peripheral unit: DFP/SINK"
Yes, all these settings are possible using both the parts.
