Hi,

Has CCG2 been certified for the attached test items(TD4.3.1~TD4.3.4) in UFP mode only?

Hi ,

CCG2 is following USB Type-C Sink Connection State Diagram Figure 4-14. The TID 1096039 is hard approve for USB-IF compliance tests. Meanwhile, the compliance tests is not final, you could contact Cypress support anytime when you occur any issue on USB-IF compliance tests.

Best Regards,

Lisa

Lisa-san,

CCG2 has been approved for USB-IF compliance test with TID 1096039,
Is it possible to tell us the specific test content?

We are developing it as a UFP Only device.
Certification with TD4.3.1 to TD4.3.4 is required for USB Type-C Functional Test.

The competitor's device was judged as failed by "TD4.3.4 Sink Connect Try.SNK DRP Test".

This test seems to be premised on use in DRP,
It seems that use (examination) with UFP Only was not assumed.

Therefore, it is a prerequisite for CCG2 to be compatible with TD 4.3.4.

Please could you confirm this content?

Hi ,

We can confirmed that we have tested and passed USB-IF at 2015.

Lisa-san,

Thank you for your reply.
Is the mode that passed the test in 2015 the DRP mode?

In case of DRP mode, TD 4.3.4 seems to be excluded.

Customers need to test TD 4.3.4 because they use UFP mode.

Do you know that CCG2 passed the test of TD 4.3.4 in UFP mode?

UFP mode has not been tested, right?

Masashi

Hi Masashi,

No, CYPD2120 for your reference. UFP for your reference.

Hi,

Use CYPD2122 for UFP fixation, not CYPD2120.

We understood that CYPD2112 does not test TD 4.3.4(UFP Only).

Thanks,

Let us ask you one more thing.

Are you planning to test TD 4.3.4 with CCG2 ( or CCG3 ) UFP mode fixed ?

I think you misunderstand TEST SPEC, even through CYPD2122 is DRP design, it shall pass TD 4.3.4 to get USB-IF TID and logo. Please kindly noticed that CYPD2122 test rang is higher than you want -- UFP fixed.
