I want to analyze the messages that occur during mobile charging with a charger that supports PPS.

ALERT, GET_STATUS, STATUS messages were confirmed like attachments.

The mobile charging operation is repeatedly charged and blocked.

I would like to confirm the cause of the incorrect charge with that message.

Please tell me the solution or the cause of the message.

Hi,

I am not able to narrow down the issue just based on the logs. As I mentioned earlier, only thing I could infer is that the sink stops responding to PD communication. So, i thought it is the issue with sink.

But as you have tested out with 2 sources and the issue is in one source, I am unsure about the reason.

Best regards,
Pranava

Hi,

Can you please your system a bit more? Are you using any Infineon PD controllers for either of the ports?

From the screenshots you have shared I can see that the Sink/UFP stops responding with GoodCRC to Accept message by the DFP but the reason is not clear as Status response is fine and no errors reported. Please share the entire log so that I can have a better look at it along with some system information.

Best regards,

Hi,

I went through the entire log and could not find any issue on the PD communication side. Alert, Get_status and Status messages are triggered because it negotiation has entered PPS and has switched from CV mode to CF mode. This is normal functionality and unfortunately Sink is not responding to the later Accept message. Please check with PD Sink and Source vendor for more details about the error. Also I see that after certain time there is a successful and continuous PD contract established. Please check if the same is reproducible with another sink.

Best regards,
Pranava

Hello. Pranava

First of all, thank you for your quick reply.

I have confirmed your reply.

I have a few questions to solve this problem.

Test condition

Charger :  Two identical products (PD5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V (Max 30W), PPS 3.3V to 11V/3A)

Mobile : Pixel 6

Cable : E-Mark Cable (20V/5A)

symptom

1.Operate without disconnecting charging

2. Operation to cut off charging

Questions

   - Should I think of this as a sink problem?

   - Or is there a solution that Source can solve?

   - I would like to know the difference between the two products.

Please check the attached file.

Thank You.
