Hi Infineon Support.

Thank you for your usual support.
About Cypress Programmer
I connected the SWD connector of MiniProg4 and CYPD3171 and performed programming.

After the writing is finished, an error "Cannot read IDR" is displayed and the writing state is finished.
----
Error, Error connecting DP; cannot read IDR
Info;Polling target psoc4.cpu failed, trying to reexamine
----

When I tried disconnecting and verifying once, the writing itself was performed normally.
Is there a connection error or a setting error on the application side?

Best regards,

koki

Hi,

If you are able to perform SWD writing successfully every time, you can ignore this message. This seems to be a known problem, and is documented in our KBA - https://community.infineon.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/ModusToolbox-version-2-x-tools-known-issue...

Hi,

It might be some connection error. Please let me know if this is occurring frequently.
Note that CYPD3171 can only be programmed in Power Cycling mode. You can verify this once.

Hi Pranava-san,

Thank you for your support.

This connection error is frequent. Also, ProgrammingMode is set to "PowerCycle".
Can you tell me the possible causes?

Best regards,

Koki
