  1. Does the Core internal regulator can fulfil load current requirement of 100pin CM7 Single core MCU?
  2. If Yes, can we use 10uF – 2no.s and 100nF – 3 no.s as Smoothening capacitor (see below) ? (as per datasheet - >6.79 uF and <22uF ).

Hi @fayis ,

1. As per CYT3BB datasheet, "The core internal regulator supports load currents up to 280 mA, and is operational during device start-up (boot process), and in Active/Sleep modes." So if current load is upto 280mA, you can use core internal regulator. Also you can refer current estimator user guide and excel sheet of CYT3BB board. Please refer below MyICP link for the same.

2. As per mentioned calculation for using smoothing capacitors, value is "20.3uF"(10uF – 2no.s and 100nF – 3 no.s ). And as per CYT3BB datasheet(SID 41), smoothing capacitor value can be from 6.79 to 22 uF. So yes you can use his estimated values. Also please refer "Figure 26-2" and Notes 59,60(page-110) of CYT3BB datasheet(doc - 002-26591 Rev. *G).

In addition, you can also refer "Table -10, of Hardware design guide for the TRAVEO™ T2G family" App Note.
