Hi,
Below is Errata ID:198 from the CYT2B93CACQ0AZSGS Datasheet.

errata.JPG

1. Where can I find the Date Code? Is it printed on the top of the MCU package?

2. Can I check the date code in the firmware?

3. Please tell me what each number in the Date Code means.
If the date code is 304xxxxx, does it mean the 04th week of 2023?

4. CYT2B93CAC corresponds to Revision C (third revision).
Doesn't errata apply if the date codes are different even for the same Revision C product?

Thanks and Regards,
YS

Hi @YongseokJeon ,

1. Where can I find the Date Code? Is it printed on the top of the MCU package?
Ans>> I am checking with internal team. I'll keep you informed on this.

2. Can I check the date code in the firmware?
Ans>>Traveo II devices have support of "ReadUniqueID" SROM api and it will returns the unique ID of the die from SFlash.
ID includes production date of the device as well as other manufacturing information. For more information you can refer
section(33.4.19 ReadUniqueID) from architecture TRM (TRAVEO™ T2G Architecture TRM, Document No. 002-19314 Rev. *H ).
  >> Also you can refer SDL based code example to read the "UniqueID" Path(T2G_Sample_Driver_Library_7.X.X\tviibe2m\src\examples\srom)
SDL download link:https://softwaretools.infineon.com/tools/com.ifx.tb.tool.traveoiisampledriverlibrary?_ga=2.10433973....

3. Please tell me what each number in the Date Code means.
If the date code is 304xxxxx, does it mean the 04th week of 2023?

Ans>> Our recommendation to you to use this API (ReadUniqueID) for,
          - Generation SHE key from unique ID.
         - To make certification to transit to RMA mode.
            Not recommend further usage.

Hi, SDESA,

Regarding Q1) I need to inform my customer, so please reply.

Regarding Q4) I ask again to clarify my question.
The date code is mentioned in errata ID: 198.
I think the date code means production week.
If I use the same Revision C (CYT2B93CAC), is the application of errata ID: 198 different for the production week?

ex1) date code : 304xxxxx -> errata ID: 198 is fixed.
ex2) date code : 301xxxxx -> errata ID: 198 is not fixed.

My customer uses Revision C (CYT2B93CAC), but I am inquiring because they use products with different production weeks.
Below is the fix status for errata ID:198.

Hi @YongseokJeon ,

Regarding Q1)
>>The date code is available on the second row on the IC top marking. The first three digits should be read as – Last digit of the year (one digit) – Work Week (two digits) For example 144 means year 2021 and work week 44.

Regarding Q4)
>>I'm checking with the internal team for further clarity. I'll provide you updates as soon as I have them.

Thanks,
Shubham
