Can I disable the BCM20704's BT and only use BLE connection device in standby mode ,and when BLE received the instructions to transmit audio then open the BT connection, and transmit audio?
This is used to save power.
I am looking at the datasheet for BCM20707 Bluetooth chip. Does anyone know the absolute maximum RF input (dBm) the chip can handle before permanently damaging the chip?Show Less
Our Bluetooth Stack BTstack (http://bluekitchen-gmbh.com) runs without any additional configuration with the Broadcom USB Bluetooth modules (e.g. the 20702).
Using the firmware patchrams contained in the WICED SDK, I was also able to bring it up on the BCM 43438, too.
What's missing now is, how to configure the chipset to route SCO data over HCI for testing? (I assume that it is routed to the I2S bus).
Assuming that is possible, how is flow control done? The Write SCO Flow Control Enable command returns the error Unknown HCI Command.

Sometimes the function wiced_bt_stack_init will not call my management callback function. The last output I see is:
00000119 GKI_create_task func=0x4ada75 id=1 name=BTU stack=0x0 stackSize=6144
00000126 GKI_create_task func=0x4aef21 id=0 name=HCISU stack=0x0 stackSize=4096
But that's it, if I reboot the board it might work as usual, I get this issue around 20% of the time.Show Less
We’ve been working with the BCM920707V2_EVAL for a while using the hci_handsfree_plus.
We saw that after creating an SPP connection with a device that acts as an echo server (we send data, and the device send the same data back as soon as the data received) , the time the whole data loopback takes is > 500ms. This seems to be very slow.
Do you have any suggestion on how to speed up the way “hci_handsfree_plus” processing spp data?
is there a ready to use SPP dedicated app that i can use instead of the handsfree?
FYI, our UART baud rate is 921600.Show Less
Does WICED support 20706 and support HomeKit ?
What should we do for first step ?
