Hi,
We have used CYW20706UA1KFFB1G and CYW20706UA2KFFB4G variants of 20706 part in our design and we have observed the following behaviour:
When we used “CYW20706UA1KFFB1G” in our design we observed -
- On power-up, when chip is in reset (reset is not released yet, A6-pin is ‘low’) - > BT_UART_TXD (F4-pin) is at logic ‘high’ by default
Now, we have changed to “CYW20706UA2KFFB4G” chip version where we have observed -
- On power-up, when chip is in reset (reset is not released yet, A6-pin is ‘low’) - > BT_UART_TXD (F4-pin) is at logic ‘low’ by default
- After release reset, BT_UART_TXD (F4-pin) is going to logic ‘high’
We request you to help us understand the difference of “BT_UART_TXD” pin default status for above two different versions of chips.
Thank you,
Pravinkumar
Show LessHow do we activate BR/EDR test mode on the CYW20706? I'm trying to connect an Anritsu MT8852B Bluetooth Test Set to the CYW20706.
BLE testing is easy via the HCI interface.
Show LessGreetings,
I'm facing some problems at the time of using the ClientControl application to test the features of the CYBT-343026-EVAL board.
Once I open the COM port and set the baudrate to match with the one specified in the application (3000000), the UI is not enabled.
I'm able to download and build 'Make Targets' to the board but for some reason the ClientControl.exe UI just won't work.
I'd like to mention that after checking the device manager I can't see any 'WICED HCI UART' or 'WICED Peripheral UART'. Instead, two USB Serial Ports are created. This happens in every computer in which I have connected the board. I attatch a capture of these ports.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

Hi,
CYW92070xV3_EVAL evaluation board hardware user guide says that pin BT_XTAL_STRAP_0 and BT_XTAL_STRAP_1 on CYW20706 or CYW20707 can be used to select XTAL frequency and it also says that the value of 1 on both BT_XTAL_STRAP_0 and BT_XTAL_STRAP_1 makes the CYW20706/07 to read the frequency from Non volatile memory.
Question :
Can you help me understand how to store XTAL frequency information into Non volatile memory ? When is this XTAL info read and applied ? How the XTAL freq used ?
It would be very helpful if you can direct to place in WICED SDK 5.0 where this is already being done.
Thank you,

Show LessHi,
We have a product that uses a proprietary radio link to a PC.
We would like to redesign it using a radio standard such as
Bluetooth. The data rate is rather high (500-800 kbps),
so BLE 4.2 and lower would not be fast enough. BLE
5.0 might be OK, but it isn't here yet. We are looking at a
BR+EDR+BLE solution so we could use EDR for now and
maybe upgrade to BLE 5.0 in the future.
Would the CYW20706UA2KFFB4G be upgradable to 5.0
in the future or would it require different hardware? How long
is the CYW20706UA2KFFB4G likely to be supported before it
becomes obsolete? What is the difference between the
CYW20706UA2KFFB4G and the CYW20706UA2KFFB4GT?
Do you have other modules that would support EDR now and
BLE 5.0 in the future?
Thanks,

Show LessHello everyone,
I'm trying to set up a performance test of the CYW920706WCDEVAL board with the Manufacturing Bluetooth Test Tool.
I followed the steps described in /WICED-Studio-6.0/Doc/Manufacturing-Bluetooth-Test-Tool.pdf but whe I run the command mbt reset nothing happens, it gets stuck at:
Sending HCI Command:
0000 < 03 0C 00 >
For more information, the board is programmed with demo.audio.headset-CYW920706WCDEVAL, which is compatible with the HCI controller. All I want to do is get statistics about the received packets (CRC errors, and packet loss, mostly). I use the CYW920706WCDEVAL as an audio sink. The audio source comes from a non-CYW20706 device (smartphone and PC). If you know an efficient way to do so, let me know please.
Setup: Windows 7 x64
Thank you in advance.

Show LessHi,
My CYW20706 is connected to STM32, there are SPI and UART.
I have some questions about downloading application to CYW20706 without seaial flash
1. only need download application to CYW20706, right?
2. How to download application via UART? Is there any simple demo for STM32?
3. How to debug CYW20706? How can I get log for CYW20706?
Show LessHi I am using the cypress 20719 BLE Bluetooth development kit. I am using the wiced studio 6.0. I want to see the data received from android APP into my cypress BLE. Where can I get the data..? or in sdk In which function or handler I get the data..?
I am using the Hello_Sensor demo app. I am enable to debug it. I guess the function is as quoted below
void hello_sensor_interrupt_handler(void* user_data, uint8_t value )
its urgent waiting for your reply.
Best Regards,
