Studio Bluetooth Forum Discussions
I'm using the CYBT 343026 eval (CYW20706 SoC) to understand the capabilities of the module. We are interested in getting access to the PCM samples within the App on the module. I've seen some discussions on the forum about this, for example sending speech audio data via HFP but the option to route the SCO voice path to the App does not seem to be available for this module. Looking at WICED Bluetooth Software Features (CYW20706A2/CYW20719B1) it indicates that it should be possible:
'Version 1.6. SCO data route can be configured to be routed over PCM or to App via a callback.'
Is this an omission in the definition of the wiced_bt_sco_route_path_t enumeration in 20706-A2_Bluetooth/include/wiced_bt_sco.h or is it really not possible?
I am using the CYW20719 dev kit with WICED Studio and I have some questions regarding preemption. I am not calling any RTOS functions. Can any of my functions be preempted by callbacks? When I register for interrupts like for PUART, GPIO, and timer, does the callback function preempt my function that is currently executing like the Bluetooth Management Event Handler? I am controlling the 20719 from another processor through PUART. Do I need to create a thread with a main loop for this type of design or is all my code already running in its own thread including interrupt callbacks? If this is the case, is there a priority of callback execution for the interrupts or BT events?Show Less
Any pin in CYBT-343026-01 can be interrupt? XRES pin (pad3) can connect to any signal? or it only for reset ? Thank youShow Less
On my computer running Windows 10 (1809), the two COM ports of CYBT-343026 are not displayed as WICED HCI UART and WICED PUART but generic names instead (COM6 and COM7). I will need to manually check for which port is HCI UART or PUART to download firmware and viewing log output. And usually, these ports swap its function after a board power cycle, sometimes COM6 is HCI UART and sometimes it is COM7.
Please help me resolve this issue. Many thanks.
I had use Cypress USB Serial CY7C65213 demo board as com port in bluetool software.
But it can not successful to get reset command complete log, but logic analysis UART log can show the rest command has complete.
Does Cypress/Broadcom bluetool software only support FTDI UART bridge?
I want to use HFP and SPP on the CYBT-343026-EVAL at the same time.
so I have found the two example at WIECD Studio as below.
I have tested each service on CYBT-343026-EVAL. each service is working well.
so I think that if merge this two example can support it.
so I'm trying to merge this two example but it is not working well.
BT Technically, I want to know if these services are available at the same time.
Please check and reply.
CYBT has 24pin and these pins seems to be configurable.
e.g According to Table4 of CYBT datasheet, PUART_RX could be assigned to Pad1,5,1214,15 or 22.
Q1: Is my understanding correct ?
Q2: If yes, is pin assignment set by WICED software?
In table9, it seems that PUART_RX could be P2(Pad5) or P33(Pad22) but
you connect PUART_RX to Pad15 in your development kit.
That's why I'm asking above points.
I've looked through the data sheets and forums and can't find the GPIO Pin Map for the CYBLE-013030-00/CYBLE-013025-00 anywhere. I'm referring to these pin definitions from table 8-1 in the EZ-Serial BLE Firmware Platform User Guide (rev E) in relation to the EZ-serial protocol, not the basic gpio functions on the MCU. my intent is to utilize the module as using the ez-serial protocol and use the GPIO pins to make the program more efficient. any help would be appreciated, thanks!
here's a pic of the table with other modules.
