The technical documentation indicates that cyw20706 supports full-speed USB, but I did not see any relevant support in the source code.

The CYW20706 does not support USB. We have another device in the same family - the CYW20704 - which supports USB, but is not part of the broad market offering.
The good news is that one of our Module Partners named LSR (a Laird Business) just released a standard product called the BT800 that's based on the CYW20704: BT800 | LairdTech
