The Bluetooth Classic specification has a provision for Power Control, which states that the Control Step should be constant between 2dB and 8dB.
The actual number of steps depends on the implementation.
The datasheet states that the CYW20706 uses 4 dB.
For BLE, there was no clear rule about Power Control before. (The LE Power Control function was specified as a new function of BT5.2, that is, the function did not exist as a SIG specification until BT5.1). Therefore, it was not included in the datasheet (because it has a low priority as information).
Since it is an extension function unique to vendors, we take the form of disclosing information in the community.
