Hello MaYa_3009166 San/ YoTa_1693656 San,
I believe the base query was : To conduct certification in TELEC, CYBT-333032 has to send TX packet accordance with following TX AFH mode.
Below is the response from our RF team:
For TELEC certification, it does not need to use TX AFH command.
R1808A0401-R2V1 333047; 333032 Telec BT.pdf (attached) is the telec certification test report. Actually, no test item will need TX AFH.
“Regulatory Test with Bluetool.pdf” is what we provide to test lab for 333032 module certification. It contains TX command of certification,
In short TX AFH is not necessary for TELEC certification and Cypress has passed the certification.
Hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards,
Anjana

HI YoTa_1693656 ,
Customer can use Tx_test in the doc for the AFH test. Hopping mode parameter should be chosen as per the test case.

Hi YoTa_1693656 San,
For that test , hopping mode parameter should be set to Channel Map (0x3) and Channel map should be chosen as per the test case.
Here is a sample command and parameters required to use Hopping mode as Channel map:
Tx_Test Local_Device_BD_ADDR: 20739B012345
HCI Command
com16@115200
[51 FC 1A]: 45 23 01 9B 73 20 03 00 FF FF 0F 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 04 01 0A 00 00 00 00 00
opcode = 0xFC51 (64593, "Tx_Test")
Local_Device_BD_ADDR = "20739B012345"
Hopping_Mode = 0x3 (3, "Channel Map")
Channel Map = "00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F FF FF"
Modulation_Type = 0x4 (4, "PRBS9 Pattern")
Logical_Channel = 0x1 (1, "ACL Basic")
BB_Packet_Type = 0xA (10, "DM3 / 2-DH3")
BB_Packet_Length = 0x0 (0, Firmware will limit len to max for BB_Packet_Type)
Tx_Power_Level = 0x0 (0, "0 dBm")

Hi YoTa_1693656 ,
Our Engineer tested the command on available BT chip & verified the command on it. It seems to work as expected.
The attached plot is for selecting 20 channels in the mid of the band. Attached the command packet as well for your reference.
Can you try the same ?

Anjana

Hello Anjana-san,
I'm YoTa_1693656's customer.
I tryed your suggestion. But does not work as expected...
(Transmit 79ch hopping mode, but does not work AFH)
Has your engineer tested CYBT-333032(or other modules used CYW20706 chipset) module?
Is there any other reason why it doesn't work? (firmware, parameters, chip revision...)
Thanks,
Manabu

Hello MaYa_3009166 San,
Our Engineer had tested the command on another available chip .
On further investigation, unfortunately we noted that the command is not supported on CYBT-333032 .
We are checking with FW team and RF team if there is any other alternative test command available for this module.
Please give us some time.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Thanks & Regards,
Anjana

Hello Anjana-san,
That report was not approved by TELEC, produced by TA Technology and approved based by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on mutual recognition agreement.
The measurement method by TELEC is specified in TELEC-T401(Not as a japanese radio law, but as a measurement procedure), TX AFH seems necessary based on TELEC-T401.
I think the reason why there is a difference in the measurement method is the difference in legal interpretation.
However, I will ask TELEC if it is mandatory.
Can you continue to investigate whether AFH transmission is possible?
Thanks,
Manabu

Hello MaYa_3009166 San,
Unfortunately , CYBT-333032 doesn’t support AFH-TX command.
If you face some issue or problems during TELEC certification, our team will support to pass the certification.
Our team have done TELEC certifications for Cypress BT modules, and never use this command before.
Thanks,
Anjana

Hello Anjana-san,
Thank you for your answer.
We got an answer from TELEC an alternative measurement method when there is no AFH test mode.
I will try to apply for the certification by the method presented.
I am grateful for your support.
Thanks,
Manabu
