Hello Team,    

Please suggest a latch-type hall sensor that withstands lower temperature rating up to -55C. The package is not a concern yet. Below are details of the hall sensor specifications. This we required for Aerospace and defense application

Voltage – 2.7V to 5V/24V

Output type – Open drain/open collector

Technology – Hall effect

Type - Latch

Polarization – South /North

Package – Any

Temperature - -55 °C to  greater than +125 °C

Hi Sayali,

Thank you for your patience.

All the automotive hall sensors are defined for the junction temperature of Tj = -40°C up to 195°C. For transportation and storage purposes, it can be brought down to -55°C for 2000 cycles. This is only for storage, NOT for Operation.

Hii Sayali,

Thank you for reaching us out. As a response for the question asked, I would like to highlight few points.

1.) The minimum operating and storage temperature hall based latch type sensor is -40 C, there are no detailed test which suggest the behaviour and the performance of the sensors below -40 C.

2.) Basically, once taken below this temperature, nothing can be commented whether the sensor would work even after going to temperatures greater than -40 C. Therefore, there is no guarantee that sensor would work. It may or may not work.
