If I left click on a columns buffer output, there is no graphical route shown to a pin. (shift key down)
If I left click, no shift key, a pin connection is shown, as has been the case for prior versions.

Show LessSystem Windows 7 64 bit, PSoc creator 2.1 CP4 will not run. It always throws PSoc Creator Error fmk.M0019 "PSoC Creator failed to load an important element and will not run normally." error at startup and closes.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling... Does not help!
Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?
Show LessThis new version of PSoC Designer is easier to use than ever as we have added a lot of new features like auto-routing and also made significant GUI improvements. We have added eight new User Module and made major modifications to four existing User Modules that will help you to implement your applications faster to improve time-to-market. Another key feature of PSoC Designer 5.3 is the support to customize the User Modules on your needs.
To experience this new PSoC Designer 5.3 and for more details, go to PSoC Designer download page.

I recently downloaded and installed PSoC Designer 5.3 which I had to do manually because it was not (yet) offered by Cypress Update Manager.
The "auto route" - function is VERY helpful especially when there are diversions of the signal necessary to use.
Designer 5.3 is remarkably slower than the previous versions, can there something get improved?
Another point I've seen is: When scrolling, zooming and panning the cursor-symbol does not change immediately. As an example: in the former version pressing the crtl-key shows a "+" cursor immediately, with ctrl-shift a '"-" cursor and when pressing the alt-key you immediately get a hand-cursor. This works differently in 5.3 and this way is not better than before.
I like to see all the new components provided with the new version, a real enrichment for us developers!

Show LessA few questions.
1.) As ADC002 apps are created are ADC groups consumed in order, 0,1,2,3?
2.) As ADCCH001 apps are added to an ADC002 app are channels created in order?
3.) What is the correct way to start ADC conversions on 4 separate ADC002 apps with 1 trigger signal? Show Less
When scrolling the window of the update-manager I get a distorted display on two quite different machines. Probably caused by really having some more entries in it than the "usual" user. Since the Update Manager is the sole program showing this strange behaveour I assume that it is related to the way the output is made. Both machines (win vista and win 7) are on actual microsoft update, effect seen the first time some months ago.

Show LessProgramming PSoC's is great, but the editor/debugger in Creator 2.0 is limited. I noticed the export to uVision which makes life probably easier, but are there updates to be expected of Creator 2.0 concerning the editor/debugger? An Eclipse plugin would be fantastic.

Show LessWhy I write code creator 2.0, there will be two different situations
I wrote
{
commTxBuffer [4 + dptr + dptr] = modbusRAM [commRxBuffer [3] + dptr ++];
}
And writing
{
commTxBuffer [4 + dptr + dptr] = modbusRAM [commRxBuffer [3] + dptr];
dptr ++;
}
Will get different results?

Show LessEarlier this year I reported a bug in Creator 2.1 whereby if you have a workspace with both a bootloader and a bootloadable project in it, then editing can be cludgy and the processor gets hogged, with Creator constantly re-reading the bootloader.hex file.
This bug was confirmed with the support team at Cypress.
I just want to report that the behaviour is still there in the new CP4 release. No suprises really since it's just a component pack rather than a core product update.
I'll post another thread in this forum on how I got around this issue for the time being.
