Hello, I have a question regarding this evaluation board and mostly all Power PROFET evaluation boards: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/board-bts50005-1lua/ As seen in schematic for the board IS pin of BTS50005 is connected to ground with 806Ohm resistor and later on to analog to digital converter of microcontroller. Maximum allowed voltage for eg. for Arduino analog pin should not exceed 5V during normal operation. What happens if BTS50005 is in error mode and current on IS pin is 13mA as stated in datasheet? Then there is voltage around 10.478V on Arduino input pin, which can cause damage. I have also verified it with LTSpice model. Is it fine for Arduino to operate in such conditions? What design can be implemented to protect microcontroller and to not shrink current detection range? Show Less

Hey,
I have to use BTS70012-1ESP in the replacement of BTS70020-EPP.
I have some doubt regarding calibration factor and derating curve table.
We are using Pic16u33 mcu which does not support floating point unit.
so our all the calculation is in Integer format.
how can I calibrate the 10 bit ADC sample which is coming from BTS70012 Is pin.
how to convert it into the voltage form because , I need to read the current.
Derating curve table i need to create but, I don't know how to calculate.
Derating curve table will be in term of I vs Time.
for 5 amp, 10 amp, 15 amp, 20 amp current what will be the floating numbers.
for reference in term of BTS70020 it is ....

Hi All I have project using BTS50010-1TAD x8(8 channel power switch) , the load is 40A max. with PWM for each channel accroding to datasheet the PWM speed is too low, my idea is add a low side MOSFET to control PWM and frequency more than 20Khz, is it possible or any idea? Show Less

What is the ON control delay time of the internal MOSFET when IN is set to High?

 

I checked the specifications for Switch-ON Delay (tON(DELAY)) and Switch-ON Time (tON) on the data sheet. I think that this parameter varies depending on the load. On the other hand, my understanding is that the delay in the IPD's internal circuit does not vary depending on the load conditions.

 

We have received inquiries from end customers regarding the time it takes for IPD to turn ON after setting IN to High.

 

I understand that Switch-ON Delay and Switch-ON Time vary depending on the load conditions, so the answer is that it depends on the load conditions. On the other hand, I think that IPD internal delay does not vary depending on load conditions, so I would like to separate the factors that cause variation and those that do not, and explain both to them.
