First question asked
Hey,

I've a question regarding to use of isolated driver with BTS50085-1TMA. The datasheet says that there are two grounds in smart MOS application, namely "Logic GND" and "Load GND".

1) How would my circuit be affected if logic and load gnds are shorted via a "net tie" or "0 ohm" ? Does it affect the current sense accuracy?
2) Does BTS50085-1TMA isolate load and logic side with an internal isolator?

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response.
BTS50085-1TMA is a non-isolated device.
Logic ground and load ground can be connected together. But it is recommended to connect via star point. Current sourced from the IS pin has no effect with dual ground and common ground. Which means this has no influence to the current sense accuracy
