We're using the BCM20736S as a peripheral, the app being loosely based on hello_sensor.
We're having an issue when connecting to several centrals, which are iOS devices.
- Connect the sensor (peripheral) to iOS device A (central). Pairing dialog appears. Device can read encrypted sensor data with no issues.
- OTAP sensor to new firmware using the iOS device A.
- After OTAP, connect to iOS device A and read sensor data, everything works fine.
- Switch to iOS device B, pairing dialog appears, press Pair, sensor data can also be read with no issues.
- Connect back to iOS device A. Connection is made but no sensor data can be read.
Sometimes, this issue also occurs when not performing OTAP in the middle, just when changing centrals from A -> B -> C then back to A or B.
Sensor connects but for some reason doesn't bond, and no pairing dialog appears, even though the sensor has been forgotten in the iOS Bluetooth settings.
For this reason, I'd like to forget all previous connection data (pairing information) when connecting to a new central. Is there a way to do that ?Show Less
I'd like to know how to keep the Wiced Sense Bluetooth on at all times or throttle it so it sleeps for 5 minutes wakes up for 5 minutes. The bluetooth radio goes to sleep/rest after few minutes if no one connects. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Greetings of the Day!!!
I'm Dinesh Katkar ,from Robota Corporation,Pune. We are designing prototype board for Wearable Personal Safety wristband project and planning to select BCM20706 (Dual Mode Bluetooth Smart Ready SoC ) from Broadcom.
But got confused with two SoCs availability ,1.BCM20706 and 2.BCM20737 ....
I would like to request you to provide us technical support regarding selection of mentioned Broadcomm bluetooth dual mode SoC chip--
1.Suitability of selected SoC bluetooth BCM20706/BCM20737 for our end product.
2.Software Stack support as We have selected ADXL362 Accelerometer from Analog Devices and they are providing full support regarding stack.
3.Free samples availability for testing purpose.
Kindly see the attached block level diagram of the proposed wearable product...
Thanks and Warm Regards,
I have the device BCM20737S and I would like to know when a android device makes me requests of type
Exist some callback or metod to know this?
I have connection event every 0,9 seconds and I wolud like to know if a lot of requests from android device can fill the Rx buffer.
Will the upcoming BCM20706 Smart Ready device support v1.6 of the Hands-Free Profile? If so, will the Wide Band Speech codec (mSBC) be supported?Show Less

recently IOS has been updated to version 9. We have 9.02.
Effect is that some characteristic of our service are no more visible. I did two trials:
1) 9 characteristics + 9 notifiable characteristics. Total 18.
I see 9 characteristics + 5 notifiable characteristics. Total 14
2) 10 characteristics + 10notifiable characteristics. Total 20.
I see 10characteristics + 5 notifiable characteristics. Total15
In both cases there is no difference between 5 notifiable characteristics that are visible and the one that are no more visible.
It seems that under IOS 9 there is a 5 notifiable characteristics limit.
Does anyone knows if this is true?
In this case is this limit service related or is it a global limit?
Hi to all
What is the max packet size in BLE 4.1. ?
Customer is looking transfering 128kB / 10seconds, currently done with BT Classic ( 3.0 )
Can we do it using BCM20736S/37S?
I'm having issues with a simple python script that will tell me if a bluetooth device is present or not. It'll work with my iphone and also a bluetooth dongle inside my computer but I can't connect to the Sense Kit. Any help would be appreciated. I can see the bluetooth MAC address when using a bluetooth scanner like "BluetoothView" but when I put the MAC address inside the code it won't recognize it.
Here is an example of the python scipt I'm using:
result = bluetooth.lookup_name (1C:66:AA:CF:DD:35', timeout=5)
if (result != None):
I'm putting in the MAC address for the WICED SENSE that I see using a bluetooth scanning tool but for some reason it won't allow it to see it's MAC Address in the python scipt and always retuns the value for "Missing" but sees my Iphone and Dongle.Show Less
