Which version of CYW20719 is on CYBT-483039-02 and other development kits?
- Cypress notes CYBT-483039 is not supported in WICED 6.4. It is still supported in WICED 6.2 and will be supported in the next version of WICED per BugS Report: WICED6.4.0/Missing files @ https://community.cypress.com/thread/47305
- Cypress also notes an initial version of the underlying chip, CYW20719-B1, is supported in WICED and the subsequent version, CYW20719-B2, will be supported in ModusToolbox. Change List CYW20719-B1 and CYW20719-B2 @ https://community.cypress.com/community/wiced-studio-blueooth/wiced-studio-bluetooth-forums/blog/2019/10/18/change-list-cyw20719-b1-and-cyw20719-b2 . The differences between B1 and B2 are defined in here. Please update the datasheets to also note the difference.
There appears to be at least three versions of CYW20719 and other than the post linked above, it’s difficult to differentiate these parts…
- CYW20719B0 – referenced within code in AN227069 Getting Started with Bluetooth Mesh @ https://www.cypress.com/file/473921/download
- CYW20719B1 – per data sheet CYW20719 Enhanced Low Power, BR/EDR/BLE Bluetooth 5.0 SOC @ https://www.cypress.com/documentation/datasheets/cyw20719-enhanced-low-power-bredrble-bluetooth-50-soc
- CYW20719B2 – per data sheet CYW20719 Enhanced Low Power, BR/EDR/BLE Bluetooth 5.0 SOC @ https://www.cypress.com/documentation/datasheets/cyw20719-enhanced-low-power-bredrble-bluetooth-50-soc-0
P.S. A single table showing which kits each version of CYW20719 is used in and what tools the part or related kit supports would be a nice response. Will all version support BLE-Mesh?

Show LessHi all,
I'd like to implement a JustWorks pairing procedure without bonding on my BCM20736S peripheral (no input no output capability). I know that it may be recommended to lower the TX power until pairing is done, and set it back to normal level upon pairing: is this achievable with Wiced SDK (I mean, any pairing callback to implement where to change TX power)?
Moreover, how to mark as "authenticated access needed" some Read and/or Write characteristics with JustWorks pairing?
Please, is there any Wiced example to have a look into? I need just basic hints and SDK APIs to be used for my purpose.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
Sabino
Show LessWe're using the CYW20704. We use a BLE enabled RCU to connect to our product, (HID over GATT), and we can wake up from deep sleep by having the RCU transmit IND_ADV frames with a specific string as data.
We need to be able to wake up on several RCU buttons and then differentiate between which key was used for waking us up.
How can we do this?
Show LessHi,
Recently, I need to choose a Bluetooth Module which can support Serial Port Portfolio or it has solution to create serial profile. Also, it needs to have RTS pin as well as bidirectional UART. Otherwise, I think I would need to build a custom profile which can link to the serial port.
Could anyone gives a few suggestion and provide some links of relevant information? Many thanks!
Show LessHi,
I have improved the data throughput for peripheral devices by setting the connection interval to the minimum (7.5ms). I used long_characteristic example as a peripheral and hello_client is modified for sending long characteristic similar to the http_client example. But still the throughput is less than 8kbps, whereas the following discussion suggesting Re: Maximum BLE throughput for reliable data transfer ~85kbps. What can I do to improve data?
Does a big MTU helps?
How can I get ride of application level ack?
What is the practical limit with two CyBLE013025 devices as central and peripheral?
Show LessHi
I am looking for IOT Gateway for sending and receiving messages from BLE Mesh network.
1) Is there a IOT Gateway already available, If so please share the link ? What are the peripherals available with that?
2) Has any one used Beaglebone Black wireless or Pi board for this using Bluez library.
3) Good source for BLE Mesh other than the SIG specification?

Show LessHi,
I am trying to set characteristic client configuration descriptor from a client device on startup. The client sends the configuration bytes but the peripheral missed that communication as it seems from the log.
Here is the code for the central device connection_up callback
void device_client_connection_up(void)
{
ble_trace0("\rprox_client_connection_up");
blecen_connUp();
if (bleprofile_p_cfg->encr_required)
{
ble_trace0("\rprox_client_connection_up start pairing");
// following call will start bonding if devices are not pairing, or will request
// encryption if bonding has been established before
lesmp_startPairing(NULL);
}
else
{
//bleprofile_sendReadByGroupTypeReq(1, 0xffff, UUID_ATTRIBUTE_PRIMARY_SERVICE);
UINT16 u16 = 1;
ble_trace0("Sending Client Configuration");
bleprofile_sendWriteReq(HDLD_DEV_SERVICE_TX_CLIENT_CONFIGURATION, (UINT8 *)&u16, 2);
}
bleprofile_LEDBlink(50,100,2);
}
// Connection down callback
void device_client_connection_down(void)
{
ble_trace1("\rDisc_Reason: %02x", emconinfo_getDiscReason());
// blecen_connDown will clear up handle and starts High duty scan
blecen_connDown();
}
And the log during the connection (client) is below:

Hi,
I am not able to understand the mesh sensor client code. What it does. Ideally, it is suppose to listen all the sensors after provisioning right? I am not able to read any sensor data. But, I can able to read the all sensor data after configuring Publication in MeshLighting App.
How can I read all the provisioned sensors and print on UART inside client. I am using Modustoolbox2.0.
I have observed one more thing that, My code is not entering into
void mesh_sensor_client_message_handler(uint8_t element_idx, uint16_t addr, uint16_t event, void *p_data).
I am not using any HCI commands. In future, I would like to use HCI.

Show LessHi,
Is the following discussion valid for the module CyBLE013025-00?
Need clarification on PUART RTS/CTS flow control support
I checked the schematic and found P3 and P1 are free.
Is there any example to know how to use the flow control?
