I wanted to let everyone know that there will be a Bay Area Meetup for Anaren Atmosphere/Roadmap Updates, including live product demos.
Date: Tuesday, June 14, 2016
Time: 5:30 PM
Location:
Broadcom Corp

It’s been a while since Anaren's last meetup, so they have some new products on the roadmap that I’m sure you guys will find interesting.
Their cloud-based drag-and-drop development platform, Atmosphere, is now in release version 1.5 with some great new features, and version 2.0 is nearing completion.
They are also on the cusp of releasing thier new Wi-Fi module and the all new Stratosphere Cloud Hosting platform. These tools form an ecosphere that allows hardware or software developers to quickly prototype embedded wireless designs – often without writing a stitch of code or knowing little about hardware implementation when you use their multi-sensor development kit to get started.
The Anaren HW platform is also supported by the Broadcom WICED SDK and Adobe PhoneGap, so you can carry your design momentum forward, straight into your target market.
If this sounds interesting to you, make sure you RSVP here: http://www.meetup.com/Atmosphere-IoT-Development-Platform/events/231575147/?rv=ea1

Show LessPer your response here: Need to program a certain Bluetooth address into my device....
I see the address changing in the BLE dongle GUI which I use to scan my BLE device:
The "Public" address shown in the picture above used to be: 20:73:7a:13:5d:a6 .
Each time I program the device, I see a different "randomly" generated address there. Like I said, I didn't change anything in the test.hex file. I only run the following command each time:
ChipLoad.exe -BLUETOOLMODE -PORT COM24 -BAUDRATE 115200 -MINIDRIVER
uart_DISABLE_EEPROM_WP_PIN1.hex -BTP 20737_EEPROM.btp -CONFIG test.hex
-CHECKCRC -NOVERIFY -DLMINIDRIVERCHUNKSIZE 251
How do you explain this?
Show LessThe latest datasheet (updated May 2014) for the BCM20737 claims that the system can detect between 10 kHz and 500 kHz, detect the duration that the signal is present or absent, and perform "further analysis and compression of the learned signal." It also claims that the learned signal can be played back via the IR TX subsystem.
However, in the SDK 2.2.2 docs, there is nothing concerning the IR RX subsystem. Are the claims in the datasheet hypothetical? Or where can I find documentation on the IR receiver functionality?
I realize that similar questions have been posted in the past but it has been almost 8 months since the last post and there have been no updates.
Thanks.
Show LessHi,
I am facing a problem with an interrupt in our custom board and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what might be happening.
I am able to run the code correctly in the development board and everything works fine. I have an external interrupt tied in GPIO:P3 and when
I am using the development board (TAG3) the interrupt is registered and the callback is fired.
When I try the same code in our custom board the interrupt is never fired. The circuit is the same for the two boards. The only difference
is that the evaluation board does not go into advertising mode and does not complete all the tasks (because of the limited hardware) and I am wondering
if there is something that could reset my interrupts or the GPIO settings that I am missing.

Show LessHi,
a couple of questions
1) is it possible to get access to the enitre received payload from an advertisement without having to use HCIULP_ADV_PACKET_REPORT_WDATA ?
2) for some reason I've noticed the packets from the same device are being reported as having different lengths when I read them and I'm not reaclly sure what can be causing that>
thanks
Show LessHello,
thank you for help here: WICED Sence Kit
whatever you provided it worked for me but i am facing some issue as mention below:-
1.Connection:-
I am able to program WICED Sense Kit with inbuilt__ "/WICED-Smart-SDK/Apps/wiced_sense" but connection getting lost after some short period of time what may be the problem.
FYI: I am using USB power only and not pressed BOOT_ROM button.
2.MAC Address:-
After building inbuilt "/WICED-Smart-SDK/Apps/wiced_sense" into WICED Sense Kit I am getting different MAC address than pre-built app how come?
3.OTA support:-
Did OUT OF BOX WICED Sense Kit had OTA Support?
Thanks & Regards,
SAGAR PATIL
Show LessIf I want to program a certain Bluetooth address into my device, is 20737_EEPROM.BTP the only file I need to modify? Do I only make modifications at these two lines?
DLConfigBD_ADDRBase = "FFFFFFFFFFFF"
DLConfigFixedBD_ADDRFlag = "Can change"
If the public address is 20:73:7A:13:5D:A6, do I just enter A65D137A7320 in the place of "FFFFFFFFFFF"?
What about the next line with the "Can change" field? What should it be changed to?
Sorry for these dummy questions I had to ask.
Thank you.
Show LessWe are nearing the point of beginning the Bluetooth SIG qualification/declaration process with our BCM20736S-based design. I've been reading through forum posts concerning this process and have a few questions that could use some clarification.
I found that these posts by mwf_mmfae and others provided good background on the issue:
Do I need to register separately with the Bluetooth SIG to use the Bluetooth logo in my product?
Bluetooth SIG Certification/QDID Assigments
I'm reading these to mean that the Bluetooth SIG "Qualification" step is not required -- only "Declaration". Is this correct?
The crux of the question we have is whether the fact that we have written application firmware that runs on the BCM20736S results in a "change to the stack" that will require additional testing., or whether we can legitimately use QDID 51750 (End product) (or should it be the component one?), pay the declaration listing fee, and have no further testing required?
For background, our application exposes the DIS (Device Information Service) standard service and several user-defined services/characteristics.
Thanks,
David Smith
