Hi,
I would like to know if the BCM20732 can support slave advertising mode (non connectable) while it is under connection state with another master like the diagram shown below as specified under BT 4.0 section 4.1.2

Moving to the new SDK, my program seems to have stopped working.
Previously it would give us this message as well (battery level is critical), but I could still proceed with the program.
Do you know what the cause of this error msg is and how to correct it?
The problem with staying with the old SDK(1.0.1) is that we found that once we pressed a button (for interrupt), a "Stop Powersave!!!" message would appear and our ADC inputs seemed to reset at an output voltage of ~3.3V, which rendered them useless.
We have tried reassigning/removing the GPIO_BAT initialization but to no progress.
Perhaps this may be the resultant of the same issue? Please advise.
thanks
Show LessThe HW App Note explains how to use the adc_readVoltage() function to get the voltage seen on a known ADC input channel. This function returns a voltage in mV, and therefore resolution is limited.
In my application I would need the get the ADC output code, so that I can get all 16 bits of resolution. Your API provides the adc_readSampleRaw() function but I don't know what reference is used and how to change it. Ideally I would like to be able to either use Vddio as the voltage reference, or a pin of the module. Is this possible ? In addition, should an ADC calibration be performed before calling adc_readSampleRaw() ? Any information on how to configure the ADC and use this function (reference, output code format, etc.) would be useful.
Thanks in advance.
Show LessHello,
I would like to test the range between BCM920702DG_FLSH dongle and my sensor that has a BCM920732. Do you have a sw utility that will show me the signal strength? Any recommendations on how to perform this test?
Can I set the tx power level on the dongle side? I think I know how to set that on the sensor side.
Thanks
Show LessIs there a way to setup a vendor designed asynchronous event?
For example, if the application receives data from the peripheral uart from a sensor and I just want to queue the data but send an event within the application to notify another callback to parse this data ... is there a built in mechanism or function to register for this type of event or interrupt?
For instance something similar to the Timer callbacks ....
Show LessHi, Can we support OTA on SDK1.1? One of our customer request OTA feature for WICED Smart, I saw it will be supported on SDK2.0, but there does have sample code in SDK1.1. so is there any patch code to support OTA on SDK1.1? Thanks!
Show LessI'm working with the BCM920732TAG_Q32 eval board and I see there are options to boot from SPI flash or i2c EEPROM (which is the way the board is set up).
I wonder if anyone here knows, it is necessary to include either flash or EEPROM in order to run a custom application?
Is there a reason to prefer flash or EEPROM? Cost, speed, number of rewrites supported?
Thanks!
Hi All,
I have the WICED smart BLE demo working - "hello_sensor". I really would like to get the "ota_firmware_upgrade" demo working to prove this is the device for my application, but I cannot find the keygen utility as discussed in the "How to write WICED Smart applications, page 19" document. Any ideas?
Many thanks.
Simon
Show LessOn page 9 of the 20732S datasheet, it says that the oscillator circuit can be designed for a 32 kHz or 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator and implies in the next sentence that this can be provided externally (characteristics defined in Table 1).
Does this mean that there is already an internal low power oscillator internal to the device?
I have seen mentions of this clock scattered throughout various pieces of the API/SDK documentation, but nothing within the datasheet really explains the internal LPO.
My guess is that the external oscillator is used to provide better accuracy and lower sleep current, but what I'm wondering is whether or not the clock that's internal to the module can be used to wake from deep sleep.
