Hey,
i tested the sample code "heart_rate_monitor" on BCM920732_BLE_KIT and with LightBlue on my mac. Works great.
So i deleted the last service "UUID_SERVICE_DEVICE_INFORMATION" in the variable blehrm_spar_db_data[] but in LightBlue
were all services (1801,1800,180D,180A).
Or with "hello_sensor" i saw with LightBlue the services 1801,1800,180D,180A and the last service UUID_SERVICE_BATTERY (180F) is missing??
Always the same 4 services 1801,1800,180D,180A. Neither more nor less
Am I on the completely wrong way?!?
Hello,
I've looked at the hello_client example and used it to communicate with the hello_sensor. It works great.
However the communication goes one way:
/*
* 7. Push a button on the hello_sensor to deliver notification through
* hello_client device up to the client.
*/
I would like to send a notification from the hello_client to hello_sensor. I tried modifying the sample code provided, but did not succeed yet. If you could provide an example on how to do this it would be very helpful. Thanks.
Show LessI have just got back a couple of boards built around the BCM20732 chip (not the module) and am having a little trouble programming the chip. I have a tried a number of ways including using the method suggested on this forum, using cgs.exe and ChipLoad.exe. I am using the following cable to program the chip using HCI UART: (http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/TTL-232R-3V3-2MM/768-1095-ND/2507857)
I guess one of the questions that keeps coming up within me is whether or not the EEPROM is required to run my application code? I have not included either an external EEPROM or any serial flash memory, is this required?
If not, which would be a huge relief, how do I go about programming the board? It seems the WICED IDE and even the ChipLoad is set up to program directly to EEPROM, as they are looking for it. Is there another software tool that would allow me to this?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I notice the the updated 20732S TRM (103) is available on the community now. Along with having two layout recommendations, there seems to be a much larger clearance area on page 23, Fig-9. What are the dimensions of this area?
Also, on page 27, Fig-14, there is an obvious mislabelled dimension for the minimum ground plane.
Does anyone have the real numbers?
Thanks,
Wayne
Show LessI am writing a 20732 Bluetooth smart application program.
The question I have :
Where I can find the document to describe about the handshake process of data transmission
after connection is made between two BLE devices.
For example,
Step 1 : BLE 1 and BLE 2 connection is made successfully.
Step 2 : BLE 1 sends data to BLE 2.
Step 3 : BLE 2 receives data.
Question : How does BLE 2 sends a ACK signal or any other way to do ?
Show LessIs there an internal weak pulldown resistor on pin 13 of 20737 ? That is UART RX and this pin also is used to start in either app or debug mode. Low level on this pin means app mode and that is why there is a resistor on TAG3 - R3 (10K).
Can I omit this resistor in my design ? I think there should be already an internal one ?
Show LessDoes the GATT database have a size limit, other than available RAM?
This is the profile database defined by using:...
ATTRIBUTE((section(".app_init_code")))
APPLICATION_INIT()
{
bleapp_set_cfg( (UINT8*) my_profile_in_my_gatt_database, // Set Profile database
...
