hi
i want to know about the way to flashing the BCM20737S chip for a custom board for the first time.
Is the BCM20737S delivered with a firmware installed on it ? do we need the USB interface ?
what's the best process when going to manufacturer and need to flash 1000 board ?
Show LessHi guys,
I couldn't find an answer in the product briefs, etc, so hoping to ask an easy question:
Does the WICED Sense device provide any built-in history storage? e.g. ideally I could connect to the device once a week and get a range of sensor readings from the past week since the last time I connected, if you see what I mean?
Thank you,
Andrew
Show LessHi everyone,
how can I flash the BCM20737 Controller on the Development Kit?
In the moment I have to reprogram it over and over again when I remove the USB-plug and put it in again...
Show LessHi All,
First of all, I'm so sorry for my poor English.
I'm trying to develop BCM20737S by using WICED Smart IDE on Win7 64bit.
I installed WICED-Smart-SDK-2.2.0-IDE-Installer.exe and 7zip.
However, there are many errors (Type 'xx' could not be resolved.) in sample codes (i2c_temperature_sensor.c and hello_sensors etc.).
For example, there are errors on following:
CFA_BSC_STATUS
CFA_BSC_STATUS_INCOMPLETE
CFA_BSC_STATUS_SUCCESS
HANDLE_HELLO_SENSOR_SERVICE_UUID etc.
Although I executed IDE installer.exe and IDE installer.exe through 7zip, this problem was not resolved.
Please tell me what to do.
Sincerely,
Ishikawa.
Show LessWe are a little confused about the need of the external 10k pull-up on P1 mentioned in the BCM20736S Technical Reference Manual.
The WP input of the internal EEPROM is active high. So with an external 10k pull-up the EEPROM is write-protected by default.
But the default P1 GPIO configuration used in all sample Apps is OUTPUT/LOW. So when the device is up-n-running the external 10k pull-up fights against the low signal on P1 and thus introduces a current leak.
In our design we always want to drive WP low for being able to write to the NVRAM without changing the state of P1. So IMHO it would make more sense to either use a 10k pull-down on P1 or to leave P1 floating.
Why would we need an external 10k pull-up at all?
What side-effects would be introduced if we would not use the external 10k pull-up?
Would it be OK to use a 10k pull-down instead of a 10k pull-up?
Show LessIs the app made in WICED Smart IDE compatible with the Unity?
I can use bleprofile_WriteNVRAM(UINT8 vsID, UINT8 itemLength, UINT8 *payload) to write bytes into NVM storage memory and the vsID is 0x70 which is the same with hello_sensor application.
But after firmware upgrade through HCI uart port, the data what I write in NVM is erased.
So how can I sustain my application data even if firmware upgrade?
Show LessHello,
My customer has issues with soldering BRC20732S.
There can I find the information about soldering?
How long the modules can be out of vacuum before soldering?
Thnaks!
Show LessIn SDK 2.1 (or 2.2) is there a convenient way to create a new hardware platform definition? It would be based on the 737S, but BTNs and peripherals would pin out differently from 737 TAG.
