Hi,
As I know, we can use use the UART to trace the log in the BCM2073X(S).
According to the Information: BCM20732S debug/trace capabilities through the HCI UART port
it seems that we need buy a DSTREAM if we want to debug through SWD. Is it right?
Is there any detail document?
Thanks
ChienYi

Hello chienyiyen,
Yes the DSTREAM is used for SWD.
We are introducing a J-LINK Debugger towards the end of July.
Let me know if this answers your question.
Thank you.

J-Link base should be sufficient. The 2073x chips support SWD only (no SWO and no trace).

Will SWD for debugging using DSTREAM continue to be supported after JLINK is introduced? We are currently in the process of acquiring a DSTREAM and DS5 for evaluation, and are concerned that these tools will no longer be supported after JLINK support is released.
Should I hold off on DSTREAM/DS5 expenditure and wait for JLINK?

Hello kwilloughby,
The DSTREAM is supported by the ARM technology, so it will always be available.
We don't have an exact time frame for the JLINK product but it should be available in the next couple of months.
Thanks

Have you seen the J-Link Debug blog here: WICED Smart J-Link Debugger
Both the Debugger and and the schematic for the debug cable are described.
We will also be creating a version of the cable as well, with an associated PN, but I think that is still a few weeks out.

Greetings,
In an app note, the JLINK 'PLUS' is recommended. Yet the JLINK "BASE" is cheaper. Are there features in the PLUS that we will need for the bcm20737, that are not available in the "BASE" unit?
thank you

Hello bvwelch,
Sorry we don't know the answer to this.
Let us check with the JLINK folks and get back to you.
Thanks

JLINK Base will work with the 2073x too.
