As a follow up to this thread:Firmware security (20732)

Does this also apply to the 20732S as well (beyond disassembling the package and reading out the FW from the EEPROM in the SIP). What is the recommended way of securing the firmware?

My understanding is that there is no way to secure the firmware on any of these products.

You would not need to disassemble the SIP to extract the firmware, you can read the EEPROM directly via the SDA and SCK pins exposed on the module.   For that matter I think you can read the firmware off via the UART using the chipload utility.
