Dear experts,
Our customer posted an interesting point that they need this part# to be marked F04 on the line below the date code on the chip. They have shared a picture of their previous receipt.
I cannot find any PCN relating to this. The F04 is neither shown on the packing.
Question:
1. What is the significance of this F04? Is there a PCN to show marking has changed?
2. Does it have any inpact on Fit Form Function?

Hi @ShawnF,
We issued a PCN in Sep 2019, which became effective 90 days later in Dec 2019 (PCN#193806), where we qualified UMC’s 65nm fab as an alternate wafer fab site for select 16Mb MoBL ASYNC SRAMs that were currently manufactured at SkyWater’s 90nm fab in Bloomington, MN. The 65nm product is form, fit, and function compatible with the 90nm SRAM products manufactured at SkyWater. There will be a marking change between the two versions of the product. However, if the top marking shows “F 04”, it refers to the 90nm part manufactured in SkyWater, MN. If the top marking shows “AB 33”, it refers to the 65nm part manufactured in UMC, Taiwan.
Thanks,
Ritwick
