Hello,

What the basic difference between Sense2goL and Sense2GoL pulse, and what was improved in Sense2GoL Pulse? For velocity measurement, using Doppler algorithm, which device is more suitable?

Thanks,

Walter

Hi @walterwhite

Both boards Sense2GoL Pulse and Sense2GoL Demo boards are embedding the same Radar MMIC BGT24LTR11.
From HW side:

  • SENSE2GOL PULSE (S2GLP) introduces a platform concept: a Generic MCU board, compatible with Arduino + a Radar Shields (e.g., DISTANCE2GOL).
  • S2GLP uses an XMC4700 vs. a XMC1300 for S2GL.

From FW side:

  • S2GLP uses a pulsed Doppler algorithm (vs. a CW Doppler for S2GL), which enables possible low-power modes.
  • S2GLP uses the CommLib communication library which enables the use of the Radar GUI (instead of Micrium-based GUI for S2GL)

We would recommend you to use DEMO SENS2GOL PULSE for your application.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Montassar.
