Hello,

I am trying to open a recording using sdk. I currently have:

recording_handle = "my path to directory"

with Avian.Recording() as recording_handle:
with Avian.Device(recording = recording_handle, correct_timing=False) as device:

I get the following error:

ifxAvian.Error.ErrorOpeningFile: cannot open file - it might not exist or is corrupted (IFX_ERROR_OPENING_FILE)

I appreciate any help, thank you.

Hello @AMEE23,

Please follow the steps mentioned below
1. Recording using the App Recorder
e.g. for 100 frames:
app_recorder.exe -r record_test -o record_test -f 100

2. Convert using DAQ Kit
e.g:
daqkit_converter.exe -d record_test -c record_test_config.json -p record_test

This step 2. will generate a folder that should be pointed at (path_to_recording) by the example_recording.py python wrapper.
In the python script, the index can be adapted to the RadarIfxAvian_00 desired recording folder

Best Regards,
Pugitha

Hello @AMEE23,

Please check if you have given correct path and name of your saved recording file.

Refer the example_recording.py file from the following path C:\Infineon\Tools\Radar Development Kit\3.4.0.202304250920\assets\software\radar_sdk\radar_sdk\sdk\py\wrapper_avian for recording example.

Best Regards,

Pugitha.

Hi @Pugitha_N , I have tried to follow the example as posted in the example recording

I have file saved as: RadarIfxAvian_00.bin

I currently have the following :

path_to_recording_parent_dir = "my parent path"
with Recording(path=path_to_recording_parent_dir, mode=0, type=0, index=0) as recording:
with Device(recording=recording, correct_timing=False) as device:
print("here")

I get the following error:

File "..\site-packages\ifxAvian\Common.py", line 98, in check_rc
raise_exception_for_error_code(error_code, error_description)
File "..\site-packages\ifxAvian\Error.py", line 95, in raise_exception_for_error_code
raise globals()[error_name](error_description)
ifxAvian.Error.ErrorOpeningFile: cannot open file - it might not exist or is corrupted (IFX_ERROR_OPENING_FILE)

Hello @AMEE23,

You have to load the recording file in .txt format not in .bin file format. If you're recording using GUI, you can select the .txt format in recoding settings.

Hi @Pugitha_N ,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, could you please provide an example of how I should write this with a test file attached? I have attempted the solution you suggested, saving the recording as a .txt file but this yields the same error as above. Thank you in advance.

Hi @Pugitha_N

I have attached the raw.txt file as a .zip file as .txt was not an accepted format. Thank you in advance.
