Hello everyone,

I want to know the meaning of magnitude [dB] in the frequency domain in the Radar GUI.

The meaning of "dB" is relative. I want to know what 0 dB means.

Thank you very much!

Hi @jeongeun,

The magnitude in the Frequency Domain plot is the magnitude of the FFT of the raw Time Domain data of the radar (ADC normalized) as per the FFT Configuration in the Frequency Domain Settings.

Best regards

George

Hi @jeongeun,

Could you please let us know which board are you referring to?

Thanks and regards

Hi @jeongeun,

If you are referring to Distance2Go board, the FFT magnitude value is converted to dB with reference to the lowest value for the range threshold. The lowest value for the range threshold is 1 and 0 dB corresponds to magnitude value of 1.

Thanks and regards

George

Thank you for your reply.
That's right. I'm referring to the Distance2go board.

When it is 0dB, the magnitude value is 1, what is the unit?

Thank you very much!

Best regards
