Greetings,

Could you please explain the function of the high-pass and low-pass filters in the Radar Fusion GUI tool? Are they designed for filtering the incoming receiver signal? Furthermore, how would altering these values affect the range spectrum?

Hello @Santosh1 ,

The high pass filter is used in order to remove the DC-offset at the output of the RX mixer and also suppress the
reflected signal from close in unwanted targets (radome, e.g.). In a receiver, the incoming signal is combined with a portion of the transmitted signal and sent to a mixer. The output of the mixer is the intermediate frequency (IF) signal, which undergoes low pass filtering and is then sent to an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The purpose of the low pass filter is to remove any unwanted frequencies present in the IF signal so that only the relevant data containing information about the target is sent to the ADC for precise signal processing
