Hi,
Their products(https://www.bosch-sensortec.com/news/accurate-indoor-localization-can-save-thousands-of-lives-enable...) seem to claim to be FCC(https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/01/16/2019-28483/wireless-e911-location-accuracy-requ...) compliant, but what about the DP310?
Since the absolute accuracy of the DP310 is 1pHa (±8m), is it not possible to comply with the FCC standard ±3?

Smartphone vendors seem to want to build pressure sensors into smartphones to enhance GPS capabilities in order to comply with the FCC.

Best regards,

Hi @h_nakamura,

The compliance with the FCC criteria (link shared) can be achieved by a regular software offset calibration to known reference pressures. It is particularly important to compensate for pressure differences between the inside and outside of a building. The relative accuracy of +/- 6 Pa enables accurate altitude measurements once a reference point is known.

Thanks and regards,

George

Hi George,
As Typical absolute accuracy is ±0.5hPa of BMP390 but DP310 is ±1hPa then DP310 needs calibration but BMP390 doesn't need. Is it correct?
Best regards,
