Hi together,
Is the UVLO from the IR2101S observing the VCC and VB? Out of the block diagram it is not clear.
Can a voltage dip at VCC or VB lead to a shoot trough at the mosfets?
Or are both cases covered by the UVLO?

I would like to use IMW120R060M1H as a switch for a 400V-200V bidirectional buck-boost circuit, and use 1ED3120MC12H with unipolar supply configuration to drive IMW120R060M1H, the frequency of PWM is 200kHz, is this correct? If it is correct, is there anything that needs attention?

Show LessI'm designing an amplifier with IRS2452AM IC with external clock.
Functional description Application Note tells: "The CLK pin receives a clock signal referenced to GND. The input threshold is set for 3.3 V logic."
But, in datasheet:
And in IRAUDAMP23 circuit there is an oscillator which works from 0V to 5V and, after C4, from -2.5V to 2.5V.
Which would be correct or best option?
Thank you
Show LessHello,
I am using SiC MOSFET GDB and power module for double pulse testing. The GDB was working fine until a few days ago when I saw a spark in the HS of the V-phase(I was using the LS of V-phase). After initial inspection of the GDB and power module, the RDY LS, RDY HS LED`s went off on the GDB.
On the power module, the measured impedance between Gate, Drain and Source were very less than the normal impedance on the other phases of the board. The condition on which the failure occurred was 500V and 350A. The SiC module was tested alot of times before the incident and there was no damage. Also the measurement setup was same as the earlier when there was no issue.
Please comment on the possibilities of the failure of the GDB or the power module. If you need more information then please let me know.
Thank you
Show LessI have now a working half bridge circuit, and I am driving it with sinusoidal complementary pwm with proper dead time using arduino. Here is an image of a working circuit, the load is a low pass filter with 0.8 Mohm resistor to ground. The IR2104s are soldered to the green breakout boards for testing purposes. Mosfets are IRF520. Input voltage is the same for IR2104 and mosfets: 15v. So the actual circuit seems fine and working.
But when I only change the IR2104, the green breadboard, the HI signal is always low. I have now tested it with some 8 different IR2104 ICs. The circuit works fine again after inserting the 'working' IR2104.
The circuit is pretty much this one:
But with diodes and 1k resistors at the gates of the mosfets like in this circuit:
The bootstrap capacitor is 22uF (50v). Lower capacitance values worked ok for the frequency of the output ac signal above 100hz, but became distorted below that...
The LO output signal is always working fine but the HI side is giving zero volts. Also HIN and LIN are working.
I have tried to solder the ICs with extra care using 350 C temperature and just for 1 or 2 seconds per pin. Also tried heat gun with solder paste 350 C with no help... I always test the ICs after soldering for continuity and I discharge the capacitors between changes...
What am I doing wrong?!?
Thanks in advance!

Good morning all,
I got an issue when I try to flash with iMotion Solution designer and IMotion link , two IMC302 on three prototypes, one is working.
- My 5V00 is perfect with decoupling capacitors for each power pins, tested also with a laboratory power supply & iMotion link (3V3 out)
- Tested with strong pull up 3K, added on RX, TX pin
With Salaea analyser I can recordered this :
@57600 Bauds
Imotion Link -> 0x00, 0x93 Answer : 0xA2, 0x00, 0x67 0xA2 + PDIV
Imotion Link -> 0x00, 0xAA Answer : 0xF0 PDIV + OK
@1000000 Bauds
Imotion Link -> 0xA0, 0X20, 0x00, 0x00, 0x82 Answer : 0x90
Imotion Link -> 0xA0, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01..............0x73 Answer : 0x90, 0x00
Imotion Link -> 0xA0, 0X20, 0x00, 0x00, 0x82 Answer : 0x20
Imotion Link -> 0x47, 0x2C, 0x0F, 0x7C..............0x73 Answer : 0x69, 0x82
And now IMotion Solution Designer says : Error while programming.
I would like also some support to programm the IMC302A with Segger trough SWD, I can connect, I can erase the uC, but what is the way to program the output files : IMC302A-F048_A_V5.02.00.ldf & out.ldf ?, the segger tools whant to have a .bin or a .hex file.
It is a very important project for me and my compagny, could you give me more information what could arrive ?
In advance thanks a lot for your support and help.
Best regards

Hello Infineon engineers:
Can you please tell me about the chip manual ESD metrics for high side switches, in the BTS7040, why is it that in P_4.1.0.21 you have gotten the ESD capability of each pin to be 2kV, but in P_4.1.0.22 the ESD capability to OUT becomes 4kV when GND is connected to VS? What is the difference between this and the ESD capability of OUT to GND or VS alone? Can't figure out how such an operation would double its ESD capability.
