How to prevent some copycats read the patch bin file data which has been stored to OTP in the XDPP1100 controller via I2C or other communication interface? Or any advice on the firmware security issue? Thanks!

Hi,
We are doing a design based on WLC1115 and are using the reference board as a starting point. We have noted that the board does not appear to be compliant with sink inrush rules for USB PD? There is 58uF of capacitance on the Vbus which is far more than the USB standard max of 10uF (see attached). The WLC1115 design guidelines (and datasheet schematics) suggest using the inbuilt NFET pins to drive a Vbus FET and avoid this issue. Why does the reference board not do this? This makes the default firmware you distribute for it also non compliant, requiring compile time changes? I see no setting for this in the Wireless Configuration Tool.
The WLC1115 guidance the reference board appears to not implement is section 2.3.5 of https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-AN235387_-_Hardware_design_guidelines_for_WLC_transmitter-ApplicationNotes-v03_00-EN.pdf?fileId=8ac78c8c80027ecd0180d10ad15070d4
Thanks.
Show LessHi,
We have some integrated POL converters (IR380xx) connected behind an I2C mux.
We configure the mux to the channel where all the converters are, then we connect the USB005 to a connector to be able to communicate with them, but this is where the problem happens. PowIRCenter scan the entire I2C bus and changes the settings on the mux 😞
How can we force PowIRCenter NOT to scan certain I2C addresses??? (0x70 and 0x71 in our case)???
If there was a setting page in the tool where it's possible to exclude addresses not to be scanned (or disabled) would have been nice... We found where it's possible to exclude some addresses, but the wrong ones.
Show Lesshi, I want to 35A*3 of the current and i want to use IR3846, i find the External synchronization pin ,but i don't use this pin to parallel connection the IR3846.

Show LessHi,
One of our power supply design for industrial application, we are planning to use ICC80QSGXUMA1 as a flyback PWM controller. We are planning to use ROHM part BD7684FJ-LBE2 as an alternate for this controller. We have seen that there is some diffrence in terms of pin orientation & functions. The maximum operating frequency is seems diffrent like 500KHz for the Infineon part (ICC80QSGXUMA1) and 120KHz for ROHM part (BD7684FJ-LBE2). Whether the maximum frequency considered for the Infineon part is correct ( In graph it is mentioned as 110KHz frequency). Shall I consider this ROHM part as an alternate ? Kindly share your valuable comments.
Show LessHi Nishanth-san,
Thank you for your reply.
We expect that neither iout_oc_fault_limit nor iout_oc_fault_response will operate when disable_digital_ocp=”0”.
Is this correct?
Best regards,
SM
