What is the maximum output current limit for Vout 1 and Vout2 pin of S6AE102A / S6AE103A PMICs? I could not get this information in datasheet.Show Less
Hello, I have a question on incorrect reading of the temperature sensor used in MB39C811 (Energy Harvesting Starter Kit). It shows -46C with 0% relative humidity regardless of the outside temperature. Does anyone know which part went wrong??Show Less
Sorry for long title: I am curious why Buck and Boost technologies are used which are constrained by their inductive energy storage topology, when more modern topologies of the last decade are superior and more cost effective? A exciting new world of Power Electronics Topologies is rapidly emerging.
Significant improvement in efficiency and reduced cost is realized, not to mention also reduced size and increased power density.
I strongly recommend joining a growing group centered on Power Electronics Topologies, that is already bringing forward topologies that will replace the Buck and Boost technologies.
Has anyone at Cypress engineering considered the half dozen or so new topologies of the last 8 years which will ultimately replace the Buck and Boost technologies? The above link is one good example of this. The latest Cuk patents are leading the charge to the next level in Power Electronics design.
Combining PSoC chips with more flexible power modules could allow for user programmability of control subsystems, but more importantly allow for instrumenting the power management subsystem.

Hi there. I would like to ask for the S6SAE101A00SA1002 Solar-Powered IoT Device Kit is there anyway I could monitor the output of the solar cell, the remaining battery charge and the power consumption by the internal hardware on the EH motherboard?Show Less
User would like to operate “Solar Powered IoT Device Kit” by using coin battery.
User mounted a battery holder, then they inserted CR1220(3V) into this holder.
But IoT kit did not operate.
And I tried whether IoT kit operates correctly or not by using external power supply.
I used VBAT pin(#2) of J1.
But IoT kit did not operate even if external power supply ups to 5V.
It seems that S6E101A did not output any voltage even if there is VBAT voltage(3V to 5V).
J4 is in EH side.
How should user operate IoT kit with coin battery?

I've refer answer from Mr. eifu in the the thread below, but I still unclear about the interval settings.
How set the BLE Advertisement interval in BLE Beacon mode, Eddystone mode, respectively by firmware?
What is the relationship of advertisement interval set by FW and PMIC power gating timer interval with the receiver side ?
Could you show it by waveform in BLE Beacon mode and Eddystone mode seperately?
My understanding and concern is as below:
・In BLE Beacon mode:
As I understand that we can disable the PMIC timer function by using USB power the Solar BLE sensor or to remove C7, C9, C14 capacitors.
If we do disable PMIC timer function, then BLE interval value set by firmware will be applied.
By I don't know the default setting value and which parameter is used to set that BLE advertisement interval by the firmware.
・In EddyStone mode:
Following P.32 Kit guide, No.16 EDITRVL can be used to Read/Write the Advertise Interval in Eddystone mode.
Is this Advertise interval similar to the Advertise interval in BLE Beacon mode?
In case PMIC timer function is still enabled, is the EDITRVL setting valid?
Thanks & Best Regards,Show Less
Hi, I've noticed that my BLE Sensor is advertising to the Cypress BLE-Beacon App at irregular intervals even when it's physically right next to it under a constant light source. The interval can be as little as 1 second to a minute or sometimes over a few minutes (or stalls for hours).
I looked at the BLE Sensor firmware source code that was provided and I noticed that it doesn't have random timer for advertising (or at least I didn't see it), so I'm wondering if I received a faulty device? Should the advertising interval be pretty regular and constant ? What could be affecting the irregularity of the advertising sends? What have you experienced?
Thanks in advanced!Show Less
I have the S6SAE101A00SA1002 Solar-Powered IoT Device Kit and the solar module isn't sending and measurements over to the BLE-USB dongle. It worked before and my Windows says that all of the drivers are up to date.Show Less
Has any body been able to get this kit to function as an eddystone beacon? Any help would be much appreciated.Show Less
