Power Management ICs Forum Discussions
We have a customer using PowIRCenter to create a config file for IR38263 devices and he could not set the boot voltage.
Here is the issue:
“When I use the wizard to create the config file VBOOT is set to 0.8V and the ability to adjust it is greyed out. If I move on to registers I don’t see an option to change the boot voltage there either…. There is only the “VOUT _COMMAND”.
I need one of these power supplies to boot at 0.9V and the other to boot at 0.85V. Will setting the config “VOUT_COMMAND” to 0.9V and 0.85V respectively accomplish this? Or does the part always boot to 0.8V and the VOUT_COMMAND only changes the voltage level after VBOOT has already set the output to 0.8V? “
Would you please advise? Thank you.

Dear Infineon Team,
I am looking for analog based solution for below application:-
Input voltage: 12 V
Output Voltage: 200 V to 1000 V
Output Power: 10 W
Application: Unidirectional
Kindly let me know if you have any PWM controller IC solutions which can support for above specifications.
Thanks,
Shritesh

hello there,
I design PCB with TLF35584 with high-frequency mode. After SPI communications and all other requirements are ok then Vprereg has a 1V voltage drop when I check using an oscilloscope. Here i attached photos of the Vprereg and Quc voltage shows in oscilloscope.
Kindly can anyone guide me on how to solve this problem?
thank you

Hello,
I am having a problem with an IRPS5401 on a new board design. It is hiccupping on startup even though the load current is much less than the over-current fault limit, including capacitor charging current.
It hiccups a few times, then comes on and stays on, see the two scope photos. The measured load current reaches about 0.2 amps when it hiccups, see scope photos. The capacitor charging current C dv/dt is 125uF * 3.3V / 5msec ramp time = 0.0825 amps. So the total current when it hiccups is about 0.28 amps.
This is on PMIC output D, and I have the programming file set to a 5msec on ramp time and an over-current fault limit of 1.3 amps. So it should not hiccup at 0.28 amps, is that correct?
Please tell me why the IRPS5401 could hiccup at this low current? I am attaching two scope photos of voltage and current, the current measurement circuit I am using, and the programming file (zipped).
Thanks for the help,
Jim Brady

Dear Miyata:
We have some questions on TLE8386-2EL.Would you help to take a look?
1.In datsheet,we did not find any test condition or current limitation about the Maximum output current capability , but we saw a Iout max 1.8A is given in the product selection table as below figure ,how does it come or what's the boundary condition of the 1.8A here ?
2.If the application need output 24V/3A from input: 9V~16V,is it suitable to use TLE8386-2EL here?

Hi there.
At the page 10 of data sheet, says: "After IC enters into OLP, both switches will be stopped. However, the IC remains active and will try to start with soft start after an adjustable period. This period is realized by charging and discharging the capacitor CINS connected to VINS pin for NOLP_R times."
In my circuit, if overcurrent protection (pin 2) is above 1,7 V, the IC stops the pulses and do not go to the initial state with a new soft start. I need to turn off and turn on the SMPS again.
I followed the app note Infineon-ApplicationNote_EvaluationBoard_EVAL1HS01G-1-200W-AN-v02_11-EN to design my circuit.
In this case, the ic should be restart automatically??
Yours sincerely;
Marcelo
Show LessI tested the code of 3.3KW semi bridgeless dual boost PFC. In that code the PI values are calculated with respect to mean Power for current control loop (inner loop). I have doubt about power calculation. Can you explain the way they are calculating the Power. I also didn't get how they got ZK(Q0.15) = 3Hz/1KHz x 2^15 = 98.

Hi
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/eval_1k4w_zvs_fb_smd/?
Question: How can we modify the design to change the OP so it can handle 14V for this Eval kit is there any way?
