Dear experts,

Need advice on this.

Both labels show the same MPN.

Is there any differences b/w these 2 SP code#

a. SP001657936

b. SP001096172

Our concern would be the if the Errata sheet version is the newest 3.1 for both part#.

Is there any other areas that we need to take care of in terms of firmware version/revision?

Regards

Shawn

Hello,

Thank you for posting in Infineon community.

SP001096172 (C13 type) is going to be phased-out soon and as a replacement we recommend the SP001657936 (C14 type).

Differences:

SP001096172 (C13 type):
This is according to Datasheet v1.0 with Errata Sheet R2.4

SP001657936 (C14 type):
- Fix of C13’s bit flip errata (‘Table 10, Item 2’ in Errata Sheet R2.4 of C13)
- Improved grounding/clamping of safety area
- Updated bond wire configuration with introduction of not
connected pins ( n.c. pins) and reduced amount of multi redundant bond wires.

Let me know if you have any further queries

Thanks

Anil

Anil, our partner has used the C13 in the past. Can they use both c13 and C14 inter-changeably withouth making any adjust to hardware or software?

Hello,

Because of the improvements introduced as mentioned above,C14 is recommended over C13 for new designs. As far as hardware/software is concerned they are compatible.

Thanks

Anil
