First question asked Welcome!

I'm repairing a power supply that uses the following chip for a +/- 12V supply which has failed. Problem is that it is discontinued and the only available replacement I could find is ICE3BR0065.

The problems are

1)ICE3BR0065 has an BA (extended blanking & auto-restart) pin whereas the ICE2B265 has a soft start pin at pin 1.

2)ICE2B265 has a higher oscillating frequency of 67kHz compared to 65kHz of ICE3BR0065.

3)ICE2B265 uses a startup resistor at VCC whereas ICE3BR0065 does not.

4)ICE2B265 requires a low pass filter at its feedback pin whereas ICE3BR0065 does not.

Without modifying the power supply circuit (preferably not), are the differences small enough to consider ICE3BR0065 as a replacement? If not, what are other chips with similar specs and pinouts that are available?
