Hello sir/mam,

I am designing a 350W SMPS with IRS27952. Everything works well when I gradually apply the input voltage (230VAC) within 2-3 seconds. However, when I directly apply 0 to 230V from mains, the IC goes into Current Fault Mode, and the SMPS does not give output until the IC supply voltage VCC drops to zero.
i have worked on soft-start capacitor values but not worked.

Hi,

Sorry for delay response.

IC support only through soft-start capacitor. Other external control can be used to control Inrush current.

Pls refer the application note “AN_1907_PL88_1908_004522” Figure 3 for inrush circuit.
