We have some questions on TLE8386-2EL.Would you help to take a look?

1.In datsheet,we did not find any test condition or current limitation about the Maximum output current capability , but  we saw  a Iout max 1.8A is given in the product selection table as below figure ,how does it come or  what's the boundary condition of the 1.8A here ?

2.If the application need output 24V/3A from input: 9V~16V,is it suitable to use  TLE8386-2EL here?

Hello,

TLE8386-2EL is a BOOST controller and can be used in BOOST converter and SEPIC converter applications using external power components.

Yes,TLE8386-2EL can be used for 24V/3A provided the Lboost,Dboost and external Power MOSFET is selected accordingly, that is peak saturation current of Lboost , forward current of Dboost and max drain current of MOSFET must be higher than 3A. And most importantly "Switch peak overcurrent threshold" must be within the limits mentioned in the datasheet.

For your application, if you need an output of 24V/3A from an input of 9V~16V, you will need a device with a higher output current rating. The TLE8386-2EL may not be suitable for this application. You may need to consider a different device with a higher output current rating, or you can use multiple TLE8386-2EL devices in parallel to achieve the desired output current. It is recommended to perform a detailed analysis of your application requirements to determine the appropriate device for your application.
