Hello,
I work with mixed analog/digital circuits that sometimes operate on hundreds of volts.
Furthermore, the mini programmer can introduce ground loops between my PC and my circuits in development.
For my own safety, I require the use of an isolated USB hub.
I have always had issues using the PSoC MiniProg3 with isolated USB hubs (I have two of different brands). The debugger always crashes with the message below.
I have to power cycle the programmer to re-establish control.
Is there any fix for this issue? I do not feel comfortable connecting my electronics under test directly to my expensive ($3000.00) workbench PC. Below are the settings.
Thanks,
Ben
Show LessFor a current project i am looking to modify the latest KitProg Frimware but can only find Version 2.03 from 2013.
Any change you can release the latest version?
Thank you!

Hi
I've just moved from a slow 32 bit Windows 10 system to a faster 64 bit system. I have installed PSoC Designer 5.4 in XP-SP3 compatibility mode, but the build does not take place.
I get this message:

Show LessHello,
I have installed PSoC Designer 5.4 under Windows 7 (64). When I create or open an example project Chip Editor and Pinout Editors are empty despite the fact that modules are present in the Workspace explorer. If I create a new project I see the same results (empty editor windows) and also can't add any module (nothing happens when I try to place a module). Moreover, when I try to build an example project PSoc Designer crashes with an error window (see attached image).
In order to try to solve empty editor windows issue I installed Adobe SVG, but this didn't help.
What do I need to do to make the Designer work?
Looking forward to your help,
Oleg
Show LessHi,
I am trying to communicate between two psocs. The idea, One psoc will read the temperature sensor data and send it other psoc to display on LCD screen. This will be done through UART. Please tell me how do I start? I want to just implement on a basic communication purposes.
I have attached my file. Please check it
Thank you.
Show LessHas anyone else seen this problem? PSoC Creator 4.2 on Windows 7-64. PC is respectably fast (Intel Xeon E3-1245 3.5GHz, 32GB RAM), and I don't have trouble with any other apps.
The delay usually happens when I change a line of code (i.e. I can type on a line, but when I hit ENTER or paste a new line, then it hangs). I just get a scrolling cursor for 20 to 30 seconds and Windows says "not responding". It also takes an unreasonably long time to enter or exit a debugging session. I wonder if the problem is related to the syntax checker or corporate antivirus. I have done "Clean and Rebuild All Projects" several times, with no effect.
Obviously, this is infuriating and kills my productivity. It's been happening for months but seems to be getting worse.
All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.
Show LessHi there. Brand new User - beware!!!
Got my proto kit yesterday - the CY8CPROTO-063-BLE, so big learning curve ahead.
Just finished downloading the PSOC Creator v4.2.
I had an issue with my 'Hello World' program which suggested that my environment was not up to date, and so I launched Help/Update Manager. This then caused some bizarre behaviour - it suggested that the PDL library was out of date and that v3.03 was required. I expected that the Update Manager would then take care of that, but no, it required to download an executable that then had to be run offline, together with new documentation.
Once that operation had completed, it automatically ran Update Manager again - and then declared that PDL v3.04 was available. This was getting tiresome!
Once that operation had completed, I was looking forward to getting back to the original issue, but no, apparently PDL v 3.1.0 was now available. I started to look around for the hidden cameras at this stage.....
Once PDL v3.1.0 was installed, it seems to have gone quiet for a while - my point is that this is somewhat bizarre behaviour is it not? Apart from the sequential update issue, my expectation was that the Update Manager would have handled any required updates??
Oh, and my original issue remains, but I shall attempt to find the right place to post that.
Any comments/feedback on this welcome.
Thanks
Bob
Show LessGreetings,
I have here a prototype board with a CY8C4146LQI-S433 on it and have problems programming / connecting to it. When manually selecting the device PSoC Programmer (version 3.28.5) says:
| Error parsing device information from database
| PSoC Device (37 37 0A 05) is not in the DataBase
Device set to CY8C4146LQI-S433 at 10:07:06
Auto detect obviously does not work. What could be wrong here?
Show LessHi there - new user query.
As my first experience with the PSoC 6 chip and the CY8CPROTO-063-BLE prototyping board, I have been working through the PSoC 6 101 set of video tutorials.
Sadly I have come to an early halt in attempting to run DEBUG/PROGRAM in PSoC Creator v4.2 for the first time.
I am expecting the IDE to ask me to select a target processor, but...
a) No targets are offered, and
b) The IDE is complaining that the KitProg utility is the wrong version (but I have run Update Manager several times and have not been offered an update to this program).
To explain where I'm at, I have been following the videos by Alan Hawse, and have got to time 5:30 on video PSoC6_101 Tutorial 1-3.
Any ideas on what's going wrong here?
Many thanks,
Bob
Show LessHello
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask, but I will do so anyway.
I looked at the project.h header file today and saw that there were no #pragma once or #ifndef in the file. I have programmed a bit in C/C++ and thought this was a standard and a must-have.
Am I wrong about this? In the case I am - can anyone tell me why?
Many thanks
