Hi,
I am following the guide for the DFU applications for PSOC6.
My understanding for this processor (PSOC 61xx) is that it does have 2 cores, but the user only has access to the CM4 core.
When I compare the GCC linker file to the one generated from the DFU, I am seeing areas for 2 cores.
Is there a more specific version available for the PSOC 61 series? I don't want to waste Flash or RAM by reserving it for a purpose that is not used.
Here is the DFU-generated linker file:
Here is the default linker file (cy8c6xx6_cm4.ld):

I would like to hire someone to complete a client program to connect with a
server program I have working now. I am using PSoc4 and a CY8CKIT-042 pioneer kit.
Is this possible to get help with this project thru this platform? Should not take a long time for the right person.

Show LessHello People helper
I have a problem with Update manager not appearing in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypress\PSoC Creator\4.4\" or in sub files Updater, at the same time i cannot find a Target in Debug->Select a Target function in the program. I have attached two pic to show also.
I have tried to follow another question but dindt help: https://community.infineon.com/t5/PSoC-Creator-Designer/Creator-4-4-Problem-with-update-manager-and-debug-target-Error-fmk-M0027/td-p/267022
Pls Help 🙂
Thomas
Ps
I can build a program though, but i have reinstalled the program 7-10 times allready due to other problems:(
Show LessHello im new to the PsoC Creator program, since summerbreak is over i have to learn how to use the UART with CY8CKIT-059, and when i create a new project and add UART to cysch file, i get the following errors when building (see attached pic), i dont if these erros come if i remove the UART from the cysch file, but if someone knows anything pls help
Show LessThere is a recurring problem in customer base, need for a unique silicon die
ID for each chip. This is not a Device ID, as currently implemented. Something
akin to this
Would it be possible to implement thru programmer ? All PSOC Families ? Auto generated, say off a tax number, GPS
coordinates, or IP group number, something unique to the customer. Even a Cypress seed for those who are consultants,
the generated serial # stored in FLASH or EEPROM, and then protected as read only during programming.
Regards, Dana.
Show LessHi, I'm beggineer in psoc.
I've been trying to make sure the ultrasonic sensor works, without using CyDelay and using interrupts, but it doesn't work correctly, any help? I'm using Cy8ckit-050.
#include "project.h"
uint16 cuenta,i;
float distancia=0.0;
CY_ISR(ISR_ECHO){ //
echo_ClearInterrupt();
if(echo_Read()==1){
Timer_Start();
}
else if(echo_Read()==0){
i=Timer_ReadCounter();//
cuenta=65535-i;//
distancia=cuenta/58.0;//Calculate Distance
Timer_Stop();//Stop Timer
Timer_ReadStatusRegister();//Reset Timer
}
}
int main(void)
{
ISR_echo_StartEx(ISR_ECHO);
CyGlobalIntEnable;
PWM_Start();
Salida_Write(0);// Off LED
for(;;)
{
if(distancia<10.0){
Salida_Write(1);// On LED
}
else{
Salida_Write(0);// Off LED
}
}
}
Looked online for quite a while. It was a bit frustrating because everything seemed to be in order with my installation, dependencies, updates, etc.
So, I happened to be on a laptop with a USB keyboard & mouse.
I unplugged them, and it worked. I was able to repeat the issue numerous time for verification.
I thought I would pass this info along in case it helps someone else.
PS. How about a legit dark theme for the IDE...?
Show LessHi,
I have searched the Cypress site, but I can't find BootloaderHost as a stand alone download.
I was hoping that it was available stand alone, since I don't really want my field engineers to have to have complete versions of PSoC Creator installed just so they can do field upgrades of firmware.
Does anyone know if/where BoorloaderHost can be downloaded or if it can be installed without PSoC Creator?
Many thanks.
Kenny
Show LessI am resuming the discussion of a topic that has been closed:
I am very grateful for the solution provided by Len_CONSULTRON , since it allows to ease the maintenance of same code to be targeted to different silicon devices, avoiding to have duplicate files everywhere.
I have found that there are however two source files for which the suggested method does not work and therefore they need to exist as duplicates (even if 1:1 identical) in each new project. These are:
- the schematic (.cysch)
- the file "cyapicallbacks.h" (if it exists in the project, i.e. if user code has been implemented in some Component's generated source code (Macro Callbacks)).
For the latter (cyapicallbacks.h) it seems that referring to the same file in the first project does not work: PSoC Creator seems to ignore its presence.
I have experienced this with PSoC Creator 3.3.
Besides the little annoyance with these two files, the method suggested by Len_CONSULTRON works great with all the other source files.
Have a nice day 😊
